Firm Profile

Our office is a small firm in Boston that concentrates in personal injury litigation, and Norman Fine is the principal in it.  He is an AV rated lawyer who graduated from law school in 1973.  He first worked for a year as a law clerk for the Judges of the Massachusetts Superior Court, and then worked for a small law firm in Boston that did personal injury work for plaintiffs from 1974-1982.  In 1982, he left that firm and opened his own office in Boston, and he has been in private practice ever since then. Throughout his career, he has concentrated in representing people who have been injured in accidents, including automobile cases, medical malpractice, and general negligence situations. He has tried and settled numerous cases successfully, and has two verdicts over $1 million, and one over $2 million.

In addition to his trial work, Attorney Fine lectures and publishes widely for the legal profession in Massachusetts, through such organizations as Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE), the Massachusetts Bar Association (MBA), and the Massachusetts Academy of Trial Attorneys (MATA).  For example,, since 1996, he has been the Editor of MCLE's widely used treatise, "Massachusetts Motor Vehicle Torts: Liability & Litigation," and has authored chapter 3 in it, entitled "The Standard Massachusetts Automobile Insurance Policy;" since 1995, he has been the chairman of MCLE's annual seminar for lawyers, entitled "Handling Motor Vehicle Accident Cases;" and since 1998, he has been one of the speakers at MCLE's annual "Personal Injury Conference" for lawyers.

He is a member of MATA, where he was on the Board of Governors, and was twice chairman of its Automobile Insurance Committee.  He is a member of the MBA, where he is a member of the Civil Litigation Section and was a past chairman of its Bench Bar Committee.  He is also a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly, the American Trial Lawyers Assoc.).  Attorney Fine graduated from Boston University, cum laude, in 1968, and from B.U. Law School, where he was Managing Editor of the Law Review, in 1973.
